The Soup Kitchen

The Soup Kitchen (TSK) is a 501(c)(3) hunger-relief and community-empowerment nonprofit that has fed Palm Beach County with dignity since 1983. Powered entirely by private donations and more than 300 weekly volunteers, we transform surplus food into nourishment and hope for working families, children, veterans, and seniors who fall through the safety net. Impact at a glance • hot, chef-prepared meals served each year—up to 1,500 on peak days—and 7.5 million meals since opening our doors. • Grocery outreach: every guest leaves with farm-fresh produce and a grocery box worth about $150 to stretch their budget. • Meals on Wheels: meals delivered to home-bound elders, often their only daily visitor. • Seasonal drives: Thanksgiving kits feed families; holiday toys brighten kids’ lives; 800 backpack sets launch students each August. • Wrap-around programs—Taking Care of Our Babies, New Beginnings parenting classes, and LiftUP for former foster youth—move neighbors from hunger to hope.
