Founded in 2003, The St. John Group has led and supported laboratory and communications initiatives throughout the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and partnering organizations and agencies. We specialize in Laboratory Data Services, Digital Communications, and Laboratory Quality Management. We facilitate interoperability among disparate systems to provide essential Critical Decision Support (CDS) and robust Electronic Health Records. We are experts in modern data standards utilizing standard terminologies such as SNOMED CT, LOINC, HL7, and RxNorm. We know effective public health communication is critical for ensuring better health outcomes, so we guide our partners to develop the strategy, messaging, and campaign plans to achieve their goals. We produce the content, graphics, and engaging social media assets to ensure our partners are meeting their objectives. Laboratory Quality Management is a critical component of the work we do. We guide laboratories in meeting and adhering to quality standards as developed by The Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI). Our clients include: Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), American Cancer Society (ACS), CDC National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), and CDC National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID)
