The Strategic Artisan

The Strategic Artisan is a new initiative from strategic marketing firm Kale Consulting, LLC. Its goal is to provide guidance, consultation, encouragement, and resources to small business founders and micro business entrepreneurs confronting new challenges as their businesses move from startup into growth."Over the last five years, we've worked shoulder to shoulder with our clients to build and grow their businesses" says Kale Consulting Founder, Joanna "Jennie" Kale."We've seen how growth phase companies are prime targets for unscrupulous "experts," as company founders move from product creation, production, and revenue generation to brand building, employee management, product placement and countering competition." In fact, as company founders shift their attention from creating a product, or providing a service, they are passionate about, to building a business and managing a staff, they face a whole new arena where they may have no experience or depth of field. Big questions arise like: How big do I really want the company to grow? Do I want to take on investors? How do I know who to hire? How do I manage our staff and resources most effectively? How do I know where spending my time and money will provide the largest benefit? How do I manage my Marketing Budget? Do I really need to be on Social Media? Big questions like these often lead to feelings of isolation, stress, fear, overwhelm - even panic - in founders who feel like they should have the answers but don't. Insecurity, inadequacy and resentment can sabotage even the most successful start up founder in the growth phase. The goal of the Strategic Artisan is to provide a resource where these businesses find information, consultation, and guidance - to find a sense of community and encouragement that lets them know they are neither alone, nor forgotten.
