The Survey Typist

Report Typing: • Level 1, 2 and 3 Home Surveys (iSurv, Proforms, Quest, Word templates, standard paragraphs) • Valuation reports (Red Book residential and commercial including: expert witness, probate, court, matrimonial, shared ownership, help-to-buy, right-to-buy/housing association, reinstatement insurance, Charities Act, development appraisals, pension/SIPPS) • Asbestos surveys • Commercial agency (heads of terms, sales particulars, lease agreements and renewals) • Schedule of dilapidation/condition • Utilising Promaps to provide plans for report appendices and commercial property particulars. • Typing up written site notes. Survey and Valuation Administration: • First point of contact for phone/email enquiries, providing information on valuations, and surveys, and quoting according to surveyor fee scales. • Handling new instructions: issuing letters of engagement together with client invoice and terms. • Liaising with property purchasers, vendors, agents and solicitors to arrange access to properties, scheduling appointments for surveyors and managing multiple diaries. • Preparing files and gathering comparables. • Overseeing CRM and report production from client instruction to delivery, ensuring surveyor/company timescales are met. • Reconciling invoices and payments, including taking card payments, and ensuring signed terms and payments are received before releasing reports. • Report production (printing and binding). • Handling post-survey queries, liaising with the client and surveyor where appropriate. • Maintaining digital files. • Basic bookkeeping. • Document production, proofreading, editing and formatting. 20 years experience as typist and secretary to surveyors - Reliable, responsive, professional, freelance, remote - Well established, proven track record - A wealth of experience in the building surveying sector - Purpose built, fully equipped home office.
