The Swimologist

Life is too short to be confined to the shore! At The Swimologist we are out to change the way adult swim lessons are taught around the world. We believe that adults deserve to be taught like adults, not kids. Our instructors teach adults who are afraid of the water and people with extreme physical challenges to swim. We’ve taught people all over the world. Stephanie Rainey, our Lead Instructor Trainer also teaches athletes to open-water swim. A long-time competitive open-water swimmer, she won the 12-mile (20 km) women’s team swim for the Rottnest Channel competition across the Indian Ocean in 2018. 2,500 swimmers compete every year. FUNDAMENTALS COURSE: LEVEL 1 (5 days) Adults swim once they trust what they’ve learned. Swimology’s combination of 8 “dry” out of the pool hours and 16 “wet” in the pool hours show you the true mechanics of water and your own body. Our course has you swimming in 5 days. Stick with our program, and you’ll swim independently in even the deepest water. How do I know it will work for me? We’ve developed a learn-to-swim methodology that is SPECIFICALLY FOR ADULT LEARNERS. We teach in a progressive manner. We even explain the physics of water, and incorporate elements of psychology (exposure therapy) and neuroscience.
