A drop in the sensitivity to, or the production of, these hormones have far reaching implications. It affects mainly brain, metabolic, cardiovascular, hormonal and sexual functioning. Low levels of sexual hormones present with symptoms such as mood swings, irritability, poor concentration, and changes in sleep patterns. There is an increased risk of developing osteoporosis, diabetes, weight gain and low labido. One of the most common symptoms is decreased libido and sexual performance.
