The Tekla Group is a boutique management consulting practice that provides services to organizations looking to grow their operations while operating more efficiently. Formed in 2008, The Tekla Group has helped many organizations both large and small, locally and internationally, implement strategies to grow their business, reduce cost, and eliminate internal complexity. While servicing our commercial clients, we have had the opportunity to also help organizations in the non-profit and philanthropic sector. While these organizations may be focused on a specific mission in the community, they still have many of the same operational functions as a commercial organization and face many of the same challenges. These challenges distract from the mission, making addressing these challenges key to success. We have found that the operational issues facing nonprofits can also be challenging because many lack the scale, in people and budget, to properly address them. This is where we can help. Many issues are process related, meaning that they can be addressed through a temporary engagement that is bounded in time and cost, ideal for a consulting engagement. Over time we have shifted our focus to work almost exclusively with nonprofits and philanthropic organizations, bringing our years of experience in the commercial sector with us.
