The Tertangala
The Tertangala is a student-run magazine that has been established at the University of Wollongong for fifty years, the first issue published in 1962. The name is the local Indigenous word for smoke signal, a joke referring to the visibility of Wollongong’s steelworks. Copies are available in a large stand outside the library, and at faculty enquiry counters. The magazine aims to cover issues interesting and relevant to students, with a particular focus on campus and local issues. Anybody interested can be involved with the production of the magazine.
