The Trinity Challenge

The Trinity Challenge is a charity supporting the creation of data-driven and analytics solutions to help protect the world against global health threats. Founded in 2021 by Dame Sally Davies, our mission is to support data-driven solutions that will help the world prepare for and respond to global outbreaks and health emergencies. We’re committed to working with governments, individuals and organisations across the world, to help improve our resilience against current and future threats to global health. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the inaugural Trinity Challenge on Pandemic Preparedness and Response received applications from 340 teams across 60 countries and distributed a prize fund of £5.7 million across eight winning initiatives. Following its success, the second Challenge - The Trinity Challenge on Antimicrobial Resistance - issued a call to the world’s best and brightest minds for data-driven solutions that will protect the power of antibiotics. We received 285 applications from 57 countries, and awarded £2.7 million to four winners in Vietnam, India and South Africa. In 2024 we also launched our first Youth Summit and competition, aiming to empower youth-led organisations and youth leaders to address one of the world’s most pressing public health challenges, the antibiotic emergency. Our first youth competition attracted applications from across the globe: 97 applications from 46 different countries.
