The Trip Foundation

The Trip Foundation gives public high school students in the New York City metro area the opportunity to experience a world beyond their own. Indeed, many students in low-income neighborhoods have never ventured outside their community, city or state in which they live–limiting their exposure to people, places and events that can broaden their intellectual horizons and provide them with an unfiltered view of the world we live in today. For a child whose boundaries are either real or imagined, such experiences can be transformational. Whether it's a trip to a museum or perhaps something as adventurous as visiting the Mayan ruins in Mexico, getting students out of the classroom and into the real world will be an experience they’ll never forget.
