The Unity Express

The Unity Express – An Interconnected Future The way in which we see, understand and use the links to the world around us gives us our place in society. The number, scope and nature of our links have increased to such an extent that increasingly, people no longer feel they understand their ‘society’ or have a role to play in it. The Unity Express is an annual, participant-driven train journey to destinations across Europe. It engages people from the most different places, cultures and backgrounds in a dialogue around the question: how shall we live? In order to answer this question, a diverse programme of activities stimulates the participants to understand, share and rethink their connections to one another and to their environment. They inspire each other with alternative ways of living and challenge the status quo by reclaiming their ability to act upon their society. Pushed by their renewed understanding, and helped by this intensive, multi-cultural exchange of ideas and values, the participants are inspired to define in what kind of society they would like to live, and take action to reach that objective.
