The Vicarage Geraldine

Fully refurbished, The Vicarage Boutique Accommodation opened in October 2019 with six beautifully appointed guest rooms, each with a comfortable superking bed and ensuite. There is also a communal sitting room to relax in and enjoy the company of other travellers. The Vicarage offers independent accommodation with keypad access so that you can enjoy your stay at your own pace. Three days before you arrive, we will email your unique code which unlocks the dropbox containing your room key. There are six car parks, directly in front of the well lit, covered verandah of the Vicarage. Closed circuit TV at the entrance is monitored and someone is on call to assist with any issues that may arise. Centrally located in Geraldine surrounded by shops and cafes and walkways, pretty Geraldine has a village vibe and an active arts scene. Often described as New Zealand's most beautiful town, Geraldine is a destination town with quintessential New Zealand character, conveniently situated between Christchurch and the Dark Sky Reserve at Lake Tekapo. The Vicarage’s central location finds you right next door to the town’s major visitor attraction, the new Barker’s Foodstore & Eatery which is perched on the Waihi Riverbank overlooking the beautiful Riverside rhododendron walkway. Don’t miss the beautiful Riverside Walk along the Waihi River, through rhododendron dells and mature deciduous trees, to the north end of Talbot St. Then either return along Talbot St (25 minutes), or cross over the road and immerse yourself for a further 15 minutes in the native bush of Talbot Forest, before wandering back through the centre of town to the Vicarage. A one hour leisurely walk. We highly recommend this walk which circumnavigates our beautiful town and takes in all the interesting shops and galleries. The beautiful old entrance hall takes you back in time with the rich wood paneling and stained glass windows however the guest rooms have been remodelled to provide contemporary luxury.
