The Waterfront Project, Inc

The Waterfront Project, Inc, is a legal center offering free civil legal representation, assistance and advocacy to the poor, homeless and disenfranchised. Our mission is to provide meaningful access to the New Jersey civil justice system for low-income individuals and families residing in Hudson County. We assist clients in a variety of legal areas, including landlord-tenant law, contract negotiations, estate planning, social security, family law and more. We also offer a certified Housing Counseling Program, where our trained staff provides free advice and referrals to renters and homeowners on various housing-related matters, including landlord-tenant issues, foreclosures and home-buying. Volunteer attorneys are always needed. We offer continuing legal education (CLE) seminars to help train our volunteers while providing the opportunity for attorneys to meet their annual CLE requirements.
