Karen Gerard, a licensed professional counselor, will develop a realistic list of colleges and a strategy for applying to college based on each student’s academic ability, achievements, individuality, special needs, interests, talents, strengths, extracurricular activities and more. Karen believes that every student is a unique individual with his/her own interests, goals, talents, abilities and desires. Therefore, she focuses on selecting colleges that reflect the student’s interests and goals along with being the best academic and social fit. Karen works closely with the student to develop a standout application for each school by highlighting what makes the student special and unique. In addition, Karen is available to help with the final decision making process after the student receives acceptances and also advises the student on appropriate strategies for deferrals and wait listing.
