Thehaven

The Haven provides support for young people, with the aim of reducing the life-limiting effects of problematic anxiety. We run face to face workshops in schools and the community, providing practical toolkits and a safe space to engage. Following a sucessful pilot we are now rolling out our programme to more schools and vulnerable young people that need our help We use proven techniques such as CBT, mindfulness and 4-7-8 breathing, and create easy to access sessions which allow space for practising strategies and peer encouragement. But mostly, we believe that young people feel empowered to strengthen their mental resilience when they are with other people who understand what they are going through and encouraged to take practical steps to manage their own anxiety levels. Haven operates within the remit of the2:67project, an innovative youth and children's work charity that has been working to support young people, youth workers and churches throughout Hertfordshire for over 10 years.
