My name is Crystal Renouf, and I’m the CEO and Founder of TheMothershp. I know what it feels like to be removed from everything familiar, placed in a stranger’s home, and expected to adjust while carrying the invisible weight of trauma and loss. That kind of disruption shapes how a child sees the world. It is often misunderstood and rarely met with the compassion it deserves. I built TheMothershp because no child and no family should have to navigate that journey alone. Our mission is to strengthen child welfare and human services through technology that understands both data and humanity, helping systems become more efficient, more equitable, and more grounded in care. TheMothershp bridges the gap between human understanding and machine intelligence so professionals can make better decisions faster without losing the context families live every day. We envision a future where technology restores trust, supports caregivers and staff, and helps every family access the right help at the right time. Selena Mo.1 is our physics-grounded AI framework designed to anchor intelligence, reduce hallucinations, and produce accurate, human-relevant insights. Selena operates as a relevance layer and middleware intelligence that helps systems surface what matters most in real time, with post-quantum security embedded into her core. Selena is built to support policy-aligned and ethically governed use in real-world systems of care, while protecting sensitive information through secure verification and access controls. We have validated performance against baseline approaches and are now expanding benchmarking and pilot readiness using de-identified data. Selena is domain-agnostic, with a dual path to scale: enterprise applications through a for-profit model, and nonprofit-facing child welfare services through the mission-driven wing of TheMothershp.
