TheraKine is an ophthalmic specialty pharmaceutical company bringing the power of biologics and biological mechanisms to diseases of the eye. TheraKine is developing therapeutic systems to improve vision and prevent blindness. We recognize that inflammation is the common cause of vision loss in all serious eye diseases. Our pipeline of therapies attack inflammation by using clinically proven biologic drugs and small molecule inhibitors and packaging them in Sustained Release Delivery Systems. These delivery systems will enable the drugs to be placed inside the Blood-Eye Barrier at the source of inflammation, and will last for several months, resulting in better outcomes, less side-effects and lower cost.
