Welcome to thinkdesign. I’m thrilled you’re here—because I want to share with you the benefits of human-centered design thinking. Why? Because following the experts IDEO, PIXAR and Stanford d.school and adopting their practice into my learning design has helped me to see that the only way to solve design challenges is to begin with YOU— the client or organisation or educator I am collaborating with. Pre-packaged products or solutions rarely lead to innovation. Einstein famously told us that we cannot solve problems with the same thinking that created them. By stepping into the shoes of others I have found insights and creative solutions that no prefabricated solution ever unlocked.While we may not know the answer, together we can give ourselves permission to EXPLORE and embrace AMBIGUITY, practice EMPATHY and leave behind preconceptions so that we can CREATE opportunities for innovation. From experience I can guarantee that it is very EXCITING when you let the real need (problem, challenge) drive the solution.
