Third Insight

Third Insight is an AI engineering company delivering autonomy capabilities for the U.S. Air Force, DARPA, and other defense partners. We develop Unmanned Autonomous Systems (UAS) software that integrates large language models (LLMs), world models, event recognition, and knowledge graphs to support autonomous decision-making, mission planning, and navigation in contested and GPS-denied environments. Our core differentiator is an agentic architecture that operationalizes sense–reason–plan–act loops at machine speed. By fusing multi-modal sensor data with neuro-symbolic reasoning and graph-based representations, our systems maintain persistent situational awareness, recognize and reason over events as they unfold, and adapt plans in real time with transparent, auditable logic. Our team of AI engineers and software architects advances autonomy for unmanned aerial and ground platforms (UAVs, UGVs). We combine LLM-driven agents with hierarchical planners, behavior trees, and distributed knowledge graphs to orchestrate adaptive task execution, resilient navigation, and coordinated multi-agent operations from the tactical edge to enterprise command-and-control systems. With funding from the U.S. Air Force, DARPA, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Navy, and major defense primes, Third Insight contributes to next-generation autonomy programs focused on decision superiority and human-machine teaming. We are building the agentic cognitive infrastructure that underpins future military autonomy and operational advantage.
