Third Studio

From our experiences exploring design processes with community groups, we found time and time again that good architecture starts with good process. We work with designers and communities to develop custom processes that enable communities to engage transformatively with designers and design. In community projects and public buildings, the best processes include kai, kōrero and bringing people to the table, literally and metaphorically. Third Studio is a collaboration between Mitra Homolja and Ellie Tuckey and their collaborators. Mitra and Ellie are young women who are architecturally trained with expertise in engagement with rangatahi (young people), emerging technology and decolonisation.
