At This is Your Body have a vision to give every young person the opportunity to break free from diet culture and unrealistic beauty standards by sprinkling joy into simple nutrition advice for teens so they can learn how to appreciate and value themselves just as they are. The person behind the business is Gel, a clinical nutritionist (BHSc). She started This is Your Body because of her own personal struggles with her relationship with food and her body. She believes that nutrition is a valuable way to nourish our body, but it doesn’t have to involve dieting or restriction. It can be fun, creative and a way to connect with the people that we love. This is Your Body offers engaging presentations and workshops to primary and secondary school students in Victoria. We also have a 6-week body appreciation and nutrition program for teens and their parents to reframe their relationship with food and their body. Gel's approach is fun, collaborative, evidence-based and has joy at the centre of it all! So, what are you waiting for?
