Thisbank

is a human-first financial institution with over 150 years of heritage and a fresh perspective on what banking should be. Our story began in 1875 with the Westmoreland Building Society, which evolved into a mission-driven group serving customers across the UK. So why “”? Because it says exactly what we do. No jargon, no gimmicks, just straightforward banking that puts people first. In a sea of complicated names, we chose simplicity on purpose. We’re here for everyday people who want a bank they can trust. People who work hard, plan ahead and expect their money to work just as hard as they do. We keep things simple, fair and grounded in real life. That means competitive savings that help customers keep more of what they earn, and flexible borrowing through 100+ trusted retail partners for the things that matter. New name. New look. Same mission: making banking feel more human. Share our purpose? Come way.
