Welcome to Thomson Metals, one of Ontario’s largest independently owned scrap metal processors, with over 20 years of history servicing scrap metal customers, large industrial plants and the general public. We are based in South Western Ontario, conveniently located just off of the QEW Highway, in the heart of Ontario’s Steel Belt, on a spacious 8-acre facility, with a large warehouse spanning over square feet. Thomson Metals owns and operates a fully integrated metal recycling business, with large industrial processing equipment including multiple material handlers, indoor and outdoor bailers, a large fleet of trucks, trailers, scows and bins, and are known across the industry for having one of the largest industrial sheers in the province of Ontario. This allows our facility to process a high volume of material every month, which we in turn sell directly to North America’s largest Steel Mills. By owning and operating a fully-integrated scrap metal facility, Thomson Metals is able to pay more money to our loyal customers for their metal. In addition to servicing our multiple large industrial accounts, with our famous red Thomson Metals bins permanently installed at our customers’ plants, we are also open to the public 6 days of the week, operating a robust drop-off Centre, where we will accept just about anything with metal, and pay for it right on the spot. We pick up your unprocessed materiel in our Thomson trucks, process your material with our own equipment at our large facility with our trained staff, and then sell your properly processed material direct to the the larger consumers. No brokering or middle-persons. This allows Thomson to pay you more for your scrap metal!
