Thorworld Industries, is a manufacturing company based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. It specialises in the manufacture of materials handling equipment to assist and improve productivity in the handling and control of goods, being loaded/unloaded into and out of vehicles in the distribution industry. The product range includes such items as dock shelters and seals, dock levellers, loading ramps/platforms, loading dock protection equipment (which includes moulded protection bumpers, speed ramps/sleeping policeman), and much more to provide a ‘One-Stop Shop’ for equipment in the loading bay area. The company has BS EN ISO 9001 approval, and all loading ramp products within the range have been independently tested to ensure they conform to the latest EC machinery directive, and as such carry the CE Mark where applicable. The Company is an active member of the Association of Loading and Elevating Equipment Manufacturers (ALEM), and our Managing Director is a Past President of the British Materials Handling Federation (BMHF), and The European Federation of Materials Handling (FEM), putting Thorworld at the forefront of all activities in the materials handling sector within Europe.
