Three Farm

Three Farm is a social design enterprise made up of a core team of Melissa Fuller, Grace Turtle and Yasmin Smith. We started as a group of friends with different backgrounds in design, ceramics, art, printing, business and marketing. We all share a vision of sustainable and ethical futures informed and encouraged by the principals of the third industrial revolution. One area of this technological revolution that really grabs us is the democratisation of manufacturing and the movement into additive manufacturing. Our philosophy supports lateral power structures that are formed when the lines between designer, maker and designer are blurred, meaning that anyone can and should be able to produce their own goods, customised to their own personal needs and wants. It is Three Farms mission to empower individuals with the confidence, knowledge, skills and tools to design and be proud of their own futures and environments. A key component to our practice is the development of public programs, educating community about 3D printing and personal fabrication and the impact it will have and continue to have on society and industry. On the brink of the 3rd industrial revolution, Three Farm workshops give people applicable skills by teaching how this technology works and how to design using computer aided design software.
