Thurgoona Community Centre

UNITY through CommUNITY The Thurgoona Community Centre (TCC) acts as a community hub and is a central meeting place for the community, offering a wide variety of all age programs. This is accomplished through close relationships with other agencies and community members. The TCC monitors the needs of Thurgoona's quickly growing community and develops new programs to meet its needs. It provides information to individuals and families, assists with access to programs both at the centre and within the community and through volunteering and leadership opportunities, builds a cohesive, well supported community where people feel connected with a strong sense of belonging. Because of Thurgoona's geographical separation (from Albury) and limited transport opportunities, the centre plays a pivotal role in attracting services and programs to meet the current and future needs of the community. The centre works closely with Albury City Council and other local organisations to advocate for improvements to the centre and to ensure the centre has the capabilities to service the growing community.
