THURNER DESIGN is a design house focused on exclusive future mobility, consumer goods, and industrial design, as well as tailored one-off creations. We are a collective of designers, engineers, storytellers, and craftsmen who have contributed to the renaissance of automotive ultra-luxury in the 21st century. Our team brings deep experience in shaping and directing iconic brands such as Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Bentley Motors, Bugatti, and others. Thurner Design offers services across the entire development process—from early ideation to extraordinary, fully realized, and operational products. Thurner Design was founded by Andreas and Annette Thurner, automotive designer and design leader with executive-level experience, spanning ultra-luxury craftsmanship, advanced innovation design, and entrepreneurship. Andreas Thurner is an automotive designer best known for the design of the Rolls-Royce Ghost (2009) and Rolls-Royce Dawn (2015). In addition, Andreas is co-designer of the Rolls-Royce Wraith, designer of the Ghost Series II and the Phantom VII Series II family update (sedan, coupé, and convertible). Following his time at Rolls-Royce, Andreas held senior design leadership roles at BMW Group (Head of Advanced and Innovation Design) and Karma Automotive (VP of Design and Architecture). Annette Thurner is a color and materials designer with experience across premium and luxury automotive brands. Her work includes the Color and Material Concept for the Mullen Five at THURNER DESIGN, seat color and trim design and trend research for MINI, and CMF design concepts for BMW Group brands and international clients at BMW Designworks. Her approach combines strategic trend insight with a strong sense for materiality, craftsmanship, and brand identity.
