Ticinum Aerospace

Ticinum Aerospace (TA) was founded in February 2014 as an academic spin-off from the University of Pavia to facilitate the commercialization of the significant research results that were obtained by the Remote Sensing Group at the University of Pavia, Italy, on the exploitation of Remote Sensing data in a risk assessment and management framework. It is mostly composed of young tech-enthusiast and scientists and it is registered as an “innovative start-up” under the Italian law, meaning it is acknowledged as a company having the required features to qualify as an innovation-booster. The strongpoint of TA is the long experience of its founders on feature extraction from radar data and on risk information gathering and management. The combination of these two characteristics in the same company earns a great advantage in the risk information market.
