TiffinEatz is an online marketplace that provides homechefs an opportunity to earn an income from their home kitchens by selling their creations locally. Most disruptive companies are founded at a time when people are looking for alternatives to what is commonly available to them. With the increased popularity of hyper-local shopping, there has been a growing consumer demand for authentic, local food that is fresh and affordable. The pandemic touched us all at a very human level and with that came a new appreciation for connecting with our neighbors and supporting our local communities. With the uncertainty and the jobs lost during the pandemic, more people started leveraging their cooking and baking skills to earn an extra income from home. The micro enterprise kitchen and cottage food industry has grown 4x since 2008 to 2019 ($20 billion) and it got a big boost due to the pandemic. By leveraging technology, we want to promote economic empowerment for homechefs and provide easy access to fresh, authentic, homemade food to the customers.
