Tim Research Group

The TIM research group is part of the Institute for Technology and Management at the Faculty for Economics and Management of TU Berlin. Our research is primarily considered with exploring mechanism relating to success in technology development and innovation. Our research is rooted in organization theory and org. behaviour and spans from projects looking at the importance of networks when taking advantage of technology convergence processes over agile process models for innovation to understanding individual creative outcomes. We teach introduction to innovation management and fundamentals of project management at the bachelor level and deliver a large portfolio of courses at the master level to primarily industrial engineering and IMES (innovation management, entreperneurship & sustainability) students. Our courses cover aspects of innovation management, technology management and advanced project management. We are committed to teaching and learning and often try to apply innovative teaching concepts to our courses. We invite industry and other organisations to collaborate with us at multiple levels. We have a long-standing experience in supervising master thesis in collaboration with industry partners, invite industry experts for presentations or other teaching formats, provide tools for improving innovation management to our collaboration partners (e.g, Innovate!), and love to become engaged in joint research endeavours. In particular, we are open to collaborate in research applications seeking public German or EU funding.
