Timor Resources

Timor Resources is an Australian privately owned oil and gas company. The Company was founded by the Directors of NEPEAN, Australia’s leading privately owned engineering, mining services and industrial manufacturing organisation, as a special purpose company with the sole purpose of exploring and developing oil and gas properties in Timor-Leste. Early 2017, Timor Resources secured Operator status of large onshore acreage on the nations south coast via the execution of two Production Sharing Contracts. Contracts were signed in partnership with the national oil company of Timor-Leste, TIMOR GAP, E.P. and the ANPM Timor-Leste Government. Timor Resources has drilled 3 exploration and appraisal wells and has had 3 oil discoveries. With substantial reserves and resources being confirmed by an external independent oil and gas certifier, under a Competent Persons Report. The company is transitioning from explorer to producer, with development drilling starting in 2024. Timor Resources is the first independent company in over 40 years to have the rights to develop onshore oil and gas resources within Timor-Leste. The onshore oil and gas potential of Timor-Leste has long been recognised but has remained largely untapped and under explored due to historic geopolitical issues. Timor Resources has exploration offices in Dili, Timor-Leste, and Brisbane, Australia.
