Tiny Travels

Tiny Travels offers families of young children in Devon, a fun, interactive and educational opportunity to learn about different world cultures. Tiny Travels is a fully mobile play company specialising in Global Discovery Sessions for young children aged 6 and under and their parents or caregivers. We visit different town halls and community spaces around Devon and run hour-long sessions. Our setups consist of 12 country "pods"; separated by child-size portable exhibition stands. Our interactive play experience engage all senses: • Sight (a colourful backdrop of photos, maps, images of children, celebrations etc.) • Smell (sensory pots containing spices, dried flowers, herbs, tea to smell) • Sound (musical buttons to press with music/language/songs from that country) • Touch (games, musical instruments, crafts, textiles from that specific country) • Taste (pretend food in wooden/woven baskets) We believe that it is never too early to introduce young children to new cultures, and as play is at the centre of how young children learn and develop, the best way to incorporate learning is through combining an element of play.
