Founded in Burrton KS in 2015 by Travis Lay, TL Steel started out providing equipment maintenance services and onsite welding repair. Since then, we've greatly expanded our operations. Our main areas of focus are- Custom Metal Fabrication- Welding Repairs, both at our shop & onsite- Steel Erection- Commercial Metal Building Packages- General Contracting services. In 2025, we opened our 2nd location in McLouth, KS. This facility supports Northeast Kansas, specifically focusing on Topeka, Lawrence, Overland Park, & Kansas City metro areas. We continue to grow in capabilities & production volume. With over 55 employees, our dedicated team is ready to help you on your next project.
