TMI Episcopal is a coeducational, college-preparatory school for students in grades 6–12, offering both boarding and day programs, as well as the option to participate in the nationally recognized JROTC program. A balanced education at TMI includes rigorous academics, competitive athletics, vibrant arts and innovation, opportunities for spiritual growth, and a wide range of extracurricular activities that enrich the student experience. Founded in 1893, TMI has shaped generations of servant leaders who make an impact in their communities and beyond. From the school’s first valedictorian, General Douglas MacArthur ’97, to distinguished alumni including Tom C. Frost Jr. ’45, Congressman Lamar Smith ’65, astronauts, military officers, Pulitzer Prize nominees, and countless others, TMI continues its tradition of excellence in preparing students for college and life. At TMI, students benefit from small class sizes, honors and AP courses, academic pathways, and diverse opportunities in arts and innovation, athletics, service, robotics, and outdoor education. More than one-third of students participate in the JROTC program, honored nationally as an Honor Unit with Distinction, where cadets develop exceptional leadership skills.
