Tocsen
In 2019, three entrepreneurs from Freiburg, Germany bring an emergency call solution for outdoor sports on the market: The Tocsen Crash Sensor. The system, consisting of a crash sensor and a smartphone app, detects crashes and automatically calls for help in case of an emergency event in which the user can't call for help themselves. The mission of Alexander Schumacher, Malte Buttjer, and Andreas Botsch: Lifesaving cannot be left to chance! Collaborations with international helmet manufacturers include: Uvex, Alpina and EKOI. These companies integrate the system into special helmet collections. Fast-forward to 2023, Tocsen is acquired by another helmet-innovation company, Aleck. Under the Aleck brand, Tocsen is available in North America, and the opportunity to create better, safer, helmets continues to bud!#connecttoprotect
