Tokheim is a design-build general contractor focused on commercial construction. We build with integrity. We take ownership and pride in every project. With a focus on excellence, we aim to exceed expectations and deliver memorable projects on the owner’s budget and schedule. The founder, Preston Tokheim, has worked in design-build construction for general contractors for over 20 years. He has found his passion in solving problems. Every part of the design-build process from the first concept meetings, collaborative design, the first shovel in the ground to handing over the keys to a happy client are why Preston loves building. Preston graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Civil Engineering focused on Construction Management and Business. He lived and built in Washington DC and Southern California before returning home to Madison, WI in 2007. He has personally managed over 60 design-build commercial construction projects with an emphasis on the win-win philosophy.
