I have been a licensed psychotherapist for 30+ years treating individuals, couples and families. I have also consulted and conducted trainings with large and small businesses and have served in several advisory capacities for state and local government organizations. Early in my career, I trained with the National Training Laboratory as part of the human potential movement. Their focus was on promoting personal growth and healthy relationships. My interest in coaching came as a result of the limitations of psychotherapy and consulting in helping people reach their potential and find fulfillment in their public and private lives. I found that solving problems and healing emotional wounds alone did not give much promise for a satisfying life; it only returned things to the status quo. Coaching, on the other hand, takes the best from my clinical and consulting background and focuses it in a much more positive direction, one which promotes personal growth, success and happiness.
