Tomoko Maruyama

Tomoko is a San Francisco based artist originally from Japan. She has a unique style that strives to capture the charm and colors of San Francisco. She uses a palette of natural colors and shades that reflect her daily life in the streets of this beautiful city. Before becoming a designer, Tomoko was a sports teacher in Tokyo after graduating from the Health Science at Nippon Sport Science University. After a few years of teaching, she realized that her real interest was in art. When she visited San Francisco for the first time, she fell in love with the city and decided to come back one day. Eventually, she fulfilled her dream of coming back and she started drawing this beautiful city. When asked about what motivates her, Tomoko replied: “I want people to know more about this beautiful city through my art” Tomoko has extensive experience in the design of corporate products such as logos, marketing brochures, package design and business cards. Additionally, her products includes greeting cards, illustrations, calendars and a clothing line, which are available in selected stores in San Francisco, New York and Hawaii.
