Tootle is a ride-sharing platform inside Kathmandu valley. Kathmandu sees 3.4 million people/trips a day. Transportation is broken considering the congested roads, inconvenient public vehicles, and overpriced taxi services. Tootle solves this by providing a platform for two-wheeler owners and people who need rides to connect and share the ride. Tootle aims to become a pioneer in approaching the sharing economy which is an emerging concept in Nepal. It has established itself as a product that has proven market potential, with strong prospects to reach out to a wider audience and create a global impact that supports the sustainable development goals (SDGs). Tootle has outshined in international platforms like Slush and Seedstars and is recognized as Asia’s one of the most promising startups of 2017. In order to use this application to get rides, one has to download Tootle app from Google Play store or App store and signup. To use this service to give rides and make money, one has to download Tootle partner app from Google Play store and then register by filling a form of requirements including the upload of a valid driving license. Tootle believes that security of both Tootle partners and client are important therefore it offers security features like real-time ride monitoring, gender preference, safety SMS, rating system, and helpline. Also, we ensure all Tootle partners have a valid driving license. Summarizing, we are a technology company who seek to bring a change in the way people commute, how they respect dignity and how they treat one another. We believe in sharing economy. We are facilitators of this change.
