Tops Foods

In the 1980s, Rudy Tops’ passion for food and technology led to the invention of a unique method to sterilise single portion meals using new microwave technology. His company, Tops Foods NV, was founded in 1993 in Belgium and became the first company ever to employ this microwave technology for sterilisation of ready meals in the food processing industry. Production began in 1996, and the proprietary microwave technology was patented worldwide in 2002. Tops Foods uses only the finest ingredients to create innovative and tasty ready-made dishes. Every detail is carefully considered, from simple raw foodstuffs to straightforward packaging. We abide by the strictest standards, not only those set by international bodies, but also by our own ethical code of conduct, respect for nature, and commitment to the highest levels of food safety. In 2014, Charoen Pokphand Foods (CP Foods), Thailand’s largest agribusiness company, established a joint venture with Tops Foods. As a subsidiary of CP Foods, Tops Foods gains access to a vast range of authentic Asian recipes and the international commercial network of CP Foods, offering great opportunities for further growth.
