Topturn Capital is an asset management company that specializes in the development of alternative strategies using fundamental or primary asset classes. A surfer executing a topturn at the crest of a wave to stay in the momentum of the moving water appears to be relying on instinct and innate ability. In reality, it is a construct of process, practice, and experience. Topturn Capital is an asset manager with an investment process that parallels this analogy. We invest with a fluidity and confidence that appears instinctual, however, everything we do is pinned to logic, systematic analysis, and hard work. Our approach to investing is straightforward. We invest in assets that aren’t foreign to anybody, we prioritize the preservation of capital above all else, and we studiously watch the relationship between return and volatility.
