Tosq Wines Ltd
TOSQ Wines Ltd is a family owned Vineyard in the Pisa district of Central Otago, New Zealand. The vineyard was planted in 2001 and comprises of 3 hectares of Pinot Noir grapes and 1 hectare of Pinot Gris and Flora grapes The first grapes were harvested in 2004. TOSQ Pinot Noir 2009 and TOSQ Pinot Gris 2011 were the first wines released under the TOSQ label. The vineyard now also produces a Rose´from Pinot Noir grapes, and a skin-fermented wine 'Entwined' from Flora grapes. The viticulture is managed by Sue Thompson and her husband Carl Thompson, in conjunction with Vinewise Viticulture. No herbicides, synthetically manufactured fertilisers, insecticides or fungicides, are used on the vineyard - only naturally derived organic and biological products are applied. The wine is made at the Maude Winery by Dan and Sarah-Kate Dineen at Wanaka.
