In 2011, Matt was recognised by his peers to be awarded the prestigious ACES Award for Excellence in Accommodation Management. Matt also spent 8 years on the board of Destination Wollongong, many of these as chairman where he drove the transformation into a dynamic, enterprising body with long term secure funding.
