Towards Tomorrow Together

Towards-Tomorrow (Together) plays an important role in supporting parents after the loss of a baby (up to 18 months) or stage of pregnancy. The support provided comes at key times. Cold cots, and the carefully considered and selected items in the memory packs are provided immediately following the loss of a baby/young child. These help to ease the stress on the parents a little by ensuring that they can spend as much time as they wish to with their child, and providing some items which help them to create a lifetime of memories in the short time available to them. It is felt that time spent with the baby, acknowledging the value of that little life can reduce the impact of the symptoms of grief. Towards-Tomorrow (Together) recognise that parents who have lost a baby or child can benefit from different forms of emotional support at different times following the loss. Often all that is available is time-limited counseling sessions. A fund is available for parents to apply for a contribution towards the cost of private emotional support. This may take a variety of different formats.
