Townsend Chartered Surveyors, founded in 1992, is an independent firm of land agents, valuers, surveyors and estate agents based in Exeter, Devon, offering traditional estate management, rural property management and consultancy and land agency services to farmers, tenants and landowners throughout the UK. We are also leading national farm quota agents for milk quota and Single Farm Payment entitlements and are known for our initiative and creativity in respect to schemes such as naked acre letting and hosting. This leading agency role enables us to provide proactive advice on the CAP reform and the implications for our clients, together with a much-needed RPA Dispute Resolution service which has a successful record in correcting RPA mistakes, tackling maladministration and recovering compensation for farmers. Having been trained for twenty five years as an arbitrator he has represented many clients at court, tribunals as an advocate and expert witness. He also acts as an independent joint expert and is involved in resolving disputes on a regular basis.
