TradeYourTrip: the people's marketplace for exchanging holidays. TradeYourTrip has been founded out of our own frustration, when we had to cancel our holiday during Christmas and lost our money. At the same time we realised that the touroperator was selling our cancelled holiday again to another person and in this way this and most of the tour-operators earn unethically double profits at the traveller’s costs. We then realised that the European Law regarding Package Holidays, which protects consumer rights since 1990, allows consumers to re-sell their holiday to another person themselves and therefore recover (part of) their holiday budget: “you can transfer your booking to another person, if you can not leave on holiday yourself”. TradeYourTrip was born and is a people’s marketplace for re-selling holidays directly between travellers, strictly from person to person. TradeYourTrip helps travellers that have to cancel their holiday and relieves them from all the administrative & legal hassle of transferring the holiday from one person to another.
