Africa's food and agribusiness sector must start by attracting a new generation of youthful 'agripreneurs.' There is, therefore, need to capacity build small and medium size farmers on agro-entrepreneurship: how to raise their productivity, increase their incomes, reduce their post-harvest wastages, improve their capacity to commercialize their agricultural activities, and use innovative technologies to curb climate change. TransFarm Ventures is committed to building capacity of smallholder farmers to make them active agents of socio-economic change and position them as viable participants in agricultural value chain, leadership and governance in society both at the community, national and regional levels.
