Transformational Learning Communities Tlc

TLC provides customized online and in-person workshop courses to support teachers and administrators who work with students with immigrant or refugee backgrounds to teach them the skills needed to integrate well-being, resilience, and trauma-sensitive strategies into their learning communities. At TLC, we embrace the tenets of trauma-informed teaching with social-emotional learning and teach you how to apply these strategies in your practice. Strategies that Founder Sherry MacKay has applied herself, in class and personally because teacher well-being is central too. Sherry has been training teachers and teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults with refugee and immigrant backgrounds for over 25 years. She is passionate about the power of human connection, supporting people in need, and using the transformational potential of mindfulness.
