Transformative Student Voice

Transformative Student Voice (TSV) designs and sustains systemic opportunities for marginalized students to lead social change in their schools and communities. We partner with schools, districts, and organizations to facilitate youth voice in transformative change. We support student voice through curriculum development, program assessment, research outcomes, teacher and administrator training, and youth led workshops. Some TSV workshop topics include youth-adult partnerships, root cause analysis, youth participatory action research, and policy development. When young people, particularly those most disadvantaged by inequity, create and participate in efforts to improve their schools, not only do they benefit but their educational institutions get stronger and more developmentally and culturally responsive.
