Transformers Mathare

We are a community grass-root organisation committed to transforming lives and improving living conditions in this underprivileged community in Mathare - a slum in Nairobi, Kenya with a population of approximately people. Through Sustainable livelihood in education and vocational training, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and create equal job opportunities for residents. We started with a number of community participation activities, including environmental clean-ups, feeding programs, and sanitation campaigns Today, we focus on vocational and technical training to help Mathare's citizens joining the labour market and gain financial independence.
